Easter Fair opened in Cathedral's square

About 130 companies exhibited Easter bread, plates and dishes, towels, souvenirs and other goods at the traditional Easter Fair that was opened in the square of the God's Birth Cathedral in Chisinau on April 19, Info-Prim Neo reports. Lilia Timotin said she sells Easter bread and pound cakes at reasonable prices as the goods come directly from the producer. The smallest cake is 100 grams and costs 5.5 lei. The most expensive cake costs 75 lei. Another vendor, Ecaterina Florea said the Easter bread, egg paint and ornaments for eggs are in great demand. The visitors can also find handmade icon lamps. Pensioner Tudor Mutu said he sold about 20 icon lamps during the first day of the fair. The lamps cost between 15 and 25 lei. Seller Elena Delescu said the plates, dishes and towels are also in demand before the Eater holidays and thus there are many goods of the kind at the fair. There were not many buyers at the fair on April 19. Many people came to see the prices and compare them with the market ones. Those who bought products said they are satisfied with the offer. According to them, the prices did not rise much compared with last year. The Easter Fair will continue until April 23.
