The sheep and goat breeders will sell lamb and kid meat at the Easter Fair that will be set up near the building of the Agriculture Ministry in Chisinau. Iurie Senic, head of the Ministry’s Animal Products Service, has told IPN that besides meat, the visitors will be able to buy dairy products, corn and wheat flower, eggs and sausages from six producers.
Several producers sell their goods near the Ministry’s building every weekend. Iurie Senic said that such fairs will take place every Saturday and Sunday, until late autumn. The fruit and vegetable growers are expected to the fair from May. The producers from Transnistria also take part in the fair.
Pintilii Bulgaru, chairman of the Association of Sheep and Goat Breeders, has told IPN that fairs to sell lamb and kid meat for Easter will be staged this weekend in district centers all over the country. The meat costs about 80 lei per kilogram. At the fair, it may be by 10 lei cheaper.
