The Chisinau pensioners whose pension is lower than 1,450 lei and the invalids of the first and second disability degree can collect the Easter benefit of 100 lei from the post offices. Eugenia Ceban, head of the General Social Assistance Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the Chisinau City Hall will provide financial assistance to 80,000 persons. The recipients can take the benefit after presenting the passport and the pensioner’s certificate. The Easter benefit is given instead of the food parcel proposed to be distributed earlier by Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca. The decision was taken in the March 31 meeting of the Chisinau Council. A sum of 8 million lei was allocated from the municipal budget for the purpose.
