A new pension category is introduced starting with January 1, 2022. This is the early pension for long career that is provided to persons who worked longer than the insurance period needed for obtaining an old-age pension. As from January 1, the men will get an early pension if they have a length of service of 39 years, while the women of 35 years and six months, IPN reports.
According to the National House of Social Insurance, the early long career pension is provided since an application is submitted, the period for examining this being of 60 days.
To file an application, the persons should make an appointment with the local house of social insurance online, through the service “CTAS Online Appointment Scheduling” that is available on www.cnas.gov.md. If the person is unable to make an appointment, this can go to the local house of social insurance according to the domicile.
The provision of the early pension for long career is stipulated in the new law on pensions that was drafted by MPs of the Party of Action and Solidarity and was adopted at the end of November.
As of January 1, 2022, the standard retirement age for men will be 63 years, while for women will rise gradually up to 63 years. From January 1, 2022, it will be 59 years and six months and will increase by six months each year, until 2028. The persons whose length of service is longer than the standard insurance period of 34 years by five years for men and by three years for women are entitled to an early pension for long career.
