People seeking undergraduate degrees will be able to apply for different specialties at one or more institutions of higher education, but will be effectively enrolled only at one specialty. Like in the previous years, universities are free to establish their own admission rules and schedule, the Ministry of Education said in a press release.
In calculating admission scores, universities may use criteria like particular and/or average Baccalaureate grades, high school graduation average grades, the graduation grades for relevant objects of study, or the grades for their own admission exams.
Also, each university is free to establish its own tuition fees for every specialty, subject to approval by the Council for Strategic Institutional Development.
To meet social responsibility guidelines, universities shall allocate 15% of their subsidised places for undergraduate courses to applicants from vulnerable groups.
