E-courses will be held in 20 lyceums in Moldova. Several subjects will be taught in electronic format. The experimental project is part of the Collaboration Agreement between the Ministry of Education and Siveco Company, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Education Leonid Bujor attended on Friday, September 3, an E-lesson of biology at Spiru Haret Lyceum. He said this was an important step towards the modernization of secondary education. He claims this form of teaching is highly efficient and will only benefit the pupils. Florian Ciolacu, vice president of Romanian company Siveco, said youth were very interested and excited by the idea and that their level of knowledge would be significantly boosted by such modern courses. After the expository lesson, the 12th grade pupils wrote a test. The youth saluted the initiative, saying the program offered complete explanations and less clear thing could be viewed repeatedly. However, E-courses cannot fully replace traditional ones. “There’s a risk that in future, we won’t be able to listen to the teacher anymore and will lose ourselves in the virtual world”, a girl said. Biology teacher Anton Dorofeev was pleased by pupils’ results and says such programs are useful and needed in each school and lyceum. “I mean especially in those villages where kids don’t have computers at home”, he said. The project provides educational software for 150 lessons of maths, physics, biology, chemistry and Romanian language. E-courses will be held in 20 lyceums in 15 districts. According to the Agreement, all the expenses will be supported by Siveco.
