The national football team of Russia also has players who sustained injured before the match against Moldova. Jirkov sand Faizulin didn’t come to Chisinau, while the presence of Dzagoev and Berezutski is in question, IPN reports.
“We will know tomorrow if Dzagoev and Berezutski are able to play. The players will have to do their best so as not to repeat the tie of last year,” Russia coach Leonid Slutski told a news conference.
Russia needs a victory in the last two matches of the qualifying rounds, against Moldova and Montenegro, so as to secure qualification for the Euro 2016 championship. Instead, the ‘tricolors’ have slim chances of avoiding the last place in the group. Moldova lost the previous four matches played at home and scored the only two points away, in the games against Russia and Liechtenstein. The match against Moldova and Russia will take place at the Zimbru stadium on October 9, starting at 9:45pm.
