Dwellers of two blocks from Chisinau complain of realty problems
Dwellers of the blocks on Igor Vieru street, 8 and 8/1, have been demanding, for a year, the Ciocana district office and courts to defend their right to have a courtyard. The access to their houses was first closed by a bar, which later turned into a terrace, Info-Prim Neo reports.
When the bar was built, the few trees nearby were cut. After the bar was demolished, the courtyard turned into a terrace. Near, a 4-story block is being built.
“We can't stand so many construction sites in our courtyard,” a dweller, Valentina Tihomirova, complains to the city hall. “Our trees were cut. The smoke from cooking meat on the terrace gets into our dwellings. In case of fire or some other emergency, no firetruck can approach our block,” she said.
Former praetor of Ciocana district, municipal councilor Ion Gabura says the district office did not authorize the construction of that building, but the documents were anyway prepared on the basis of an ordinance of then mayor Vasile Ursu.
“The city hall is considering the case and the Constructions Discipline Division halted the works several times. But having all the documents issued with Ursu's agreement, the company can reconfirm its right to built repeatedly in the court,” Gabura says.
Interim general mayor Nistor Grozavu promise to consider the situation and free the access to the blocks.
