The people living in an apartment building in Ciocana sector of the capital city were evacuated after a fire started in the block on Wednesday morning. The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations said that the flames engulfed an apartment situated on the third floor of the building, but the fire did not spread to the upper floors, IPN reports.
The 112 Service at 10:30 a.m. was notified of a fire that broke out in a building on Mircea cel Bătrân Blvd in Chisinau. Four crews of rescuers and firefighters travelled to the scene.
The dwellers were evacuated in order to avoid poisoning with fumes.
Specialists are to establish all the circumstances of the fire.
