Parliament requested the Government to identify a plot of 0.5 hectares on which to erect a building with apartments for MPs. The lawmakers will pay for these apartments by themselves, IPN reports.
According to a note from Parliament, the request was signed by 47 MPs representing all the parliamentary groups, including unaffiliated lawmakers. All the construction costs will be covered by the MPs, in accordance with the market value of real estate, without allocating money from the state budget.
The request was submitted to the Government last November, but the executive made no response yet.
