Dumitru Udrea today was appointed as the Government’s new general secretary.
Udrea has a license in economics and a master’s degree in economic systems and policies. His career includes government work as senior consultant at the Ministry of Economy’s Directorate for Coordinating Foreign Technical Assistance, and a short stint as secretary of state at the Ministry of Finance in 2019.
The Government’s new general secretary has experience in several projects with foreign financing from the EU, US, UK and the World Bank. He completed internships in Japan, Austria, Sweden and Italy.
At the same Government’s meeting, Igor Cutie was appointed general secretary of the Ministry of Defense, and Stela Ciobanu as general secretary of the Ministry of Justice. Both are winners of a selection process held to fill the vacancies.
Stela Ciobanu has 17 years of managerial experience and speaks a number of foreign languages. She has a master’s degree at the Presidential Academy of Public Administration. Her career includes work at the state company Moldtelecom and the commercial bank Mobiasbanca.
Igor Cutie graduated from the Army Engineer School in Bucharest, holds a master’s degree in public administration, and is currently a doctoral student in security and defense studies. He boasts a military career of over 30 years.
