Deputy Minister of Economy Dumitru Godoroja filled the vacant seat of MP on behalf of the Democratic Party (PDM). Parliament adopted a decision to this effect after the Constitutional Court validated the seat on July 16. The lawmaker has 30 days to vacate the post of deputy minister, IPN reports.

Dumitru Godoroja became an MP from the list of substitute candidates of the PDM after former Deputy Parliamentary Speaker Andrian Candu was appointed as Minister of Economy instead of Valeriu Lazar.

The post of Deputy Speaker was filled by Democratic MP Sergiu Sarbu.
