Dumitru Diacov: We have to solve the puzzle with 53 seats

“We're in a difficult situation to solve this puzzle with 53 seats and to insure an alternative to the government,” Dumitru Diacov, the honorable president of the Democratic Party (PDM), has told Info-Prim Neo. “If the Communists did not find a vote to elect the president, we need 13 votes and, thus, we have a more intricate problem,” underlined Dumitru Diacov and added: “The risk is that there will not be found common language and we'll get new elections next year, what is unacceptable.” “The PDM cannot be unhappy with the preliminary results, because we have a score by 10% better than on April 5,” said Dumitru Diacov, but has specified the Democrats expected a better result. “We consider that the blows we got during the race from the left wing, but especially – from the right wing, had their effect on the final result,” the PDM's honorable president stated. Diacov maintains it's too early to talk about lessons to be taught after the poll: “We are tired after the campaign, we have to see the PDM's performance in districts, and then we'll draw the conclusions.” According to the latest results posted by the CEC after processing 98.3% of electoral protocols, the PDM gains 12.6%.
