“We voted for what Moldova deserves the most: economic progress, democracy and freedom so that the people are confident that Moldova will develop and they will receive the salaries in time, for a democratic and prosperous Moldova,” the leader of the Democratic Party (PDM) Dumitru Diacov told the reporters after voting together with his wife. Asked by Info-Prim Neo’s reporter if he was certain of a change, Diacov said that this word has a different meaning for everyone. “The Communists want changes, the young people want changes, we want changes for the better. The changes must be implemented by agreement. One party does not have this possibility (of implementing the change itself – e.n.) even if it wins more votes,” the PDM leader said. “We must join efforts. We need to unify the country, not to divide it between the members of the party and the rest of the people,” Dumitru Diacov said. “I have high hopes of this elections and I hope that our country will become a civilized one.” Dumitru Diacov also said in the second half of the day he will meet his nephews and anxiously wait for the election outcome.
