“The European Union hopes that Moldova will become a serious country one day and thus encourages us,” the leader of the Democratic parliamentary group Dumitru Diacov said, commenting on the European Parliament’s resolution. He also said it is hard to believe that a resolution will make things move, but voiced hope that it will have a positive effect on the changes in Moldova. “If the MEPs wish good things to Moldova, we also must wish them,” said Dumitru Diacov. On September 15, the European Parliament approved a resolution with the recommendation to the Council, the Commission and the European External Action Service to offer Moldova the prospect of joining the EU one day. .
