The vice president of the Political Party “Our Party” (PPPN) Dumitru Chubashenko does not rule out the possibility that the party or some of the party’s candidates could not be registered as electoral contenders in the parliamentary elections of this February. Or, if it is registered, the party could be later excluded from the race. Dumitru Chubashenko developed the issue in the talk show “Important” on TVC21 channel, IPN reports.
“As long as they didn’t hunt us down, we continue to fly,” stated the politician. As regards an eventual electoral bloc, Dumitru Chubashenko said the party is taking part in the elections independently and it is already late to register a bloc. Next week, representatives of the party will present the signatures in support of candidates to electoral councils. Some of the representatives of the party who intend to run haven’t yet received integrity certificates from the National Integrity Authority.
Dumitru Chubashenko also said the party would boycott the parliamentary elections if other parties joined it. “If the pro-European opposition of the right takes part in elections, the West recognizes the elections. Currently, the legitimacy of the elections and Moldovan power is ensured by the West,” stated the politician.
The parliamentary elections will take place on February 24, 2019.
