The Our Party’s candidate for President Dumitru Chubashenko said he is ready to struggle till the end and promised he will not betray and will not disappoint the voters, IPN reports.

In a news conference, Dumitru Chubashenko said even if he knew that politics is not something very clean, he decided to renounce his job of journalist and to fight against the system. In the current campaign, he witnessed all kinds of moments, including less pleasant ones, because he lost friends who didn’t agree with his position. But most of these were yet pleasant. His team had hundreds of meetings with voters and the main conclusion they reached is that the people hate the current government and want this to be replaced.

The candidate said his team can effect this change by dissolving Parliament and by holding early parliamentary elections. On the last 100 meters of campaign, the pressure exerted on his team intensified, including through criminal cases and searches.

As to the Democratic candidate Marian Lupu’s decision to withdraw from the race, Chubashenko said this is beneficial, but the PDM now looks for all kinds of solutions. They possess information that the PDM convened meetings at local level and instructed campaigning in favor of Igor Dodon.

The leader of Our Party Renato Usatyi stated online that the people became witnesses of the repression of his party, which was ordered by Vlad Plahotniuc. Her noted that no matter what this costs him, he will destroy the ‘oligarchic system’. He called on the people to vote for Dumitru Chubashenko, who is the most honest candidate, and to no way support Plahotniuc’s candidates.
