Dubăsari farms to benefit from VAT exemption

The farmers and business entities that own farmland located beyond the Râbnița-Tiraspol road will be exempted from paying VAT at internal checkpoints, IPN reports.

The Government supplemented the regulations concerning the transportation of goods through internal checkpoints. To be exempted from VAT, the given farmland owners must present a certificate concerning ownership of land issued by the mayor’s office, in the original, and the document concerning the projected harvest issued by the Agriculture and Cadaster Section of the Dubăsari District Council, in the original.

The agricultural production of the farmers from Dubăsari is subject to checks for being taxed as imported agricultural products. To avoid such a procedure, the internal checkpoints ask for a certificate of origin for the agricultural products issued by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova. With the approval of the given draft decision, the farmers will not pay the tax of 3,000 lei for such a certificate.

In total, five mayor’s offices in Dubăsari district – Molovata Nouă, Cocieri, Coșnița, Doroțcaia and Pârâta – own land situated beyond the Râbnița-Tiraspol road. This land is 9.544,62 ha in area, with 6.499 of these ha being farmland.
