Dubasari accumulation lake is populated with young fish
The accumulation lake in Dubasari was populated with 5,600 kilograms of fish on April 3 after imposing a fishing restriction.
In 2008, the lake was populated with 14,000 kilograms of young fish of different species worth 420,000 lei, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
Every spring and autumn, the Piscicultural Service of the Ministry’s State Ecological Inspectorate populates fish purchased from the damages paid for causing damage to the biological resources in lakes and rivers and from selling tickets for industrial, commercial and amateur fishing.
Employees of the Piscicultural Service carry out different activities to improve the development conditions for the fish. There were made 500 artificial nests for collecting roe of pike, carp and bream. Fish is bred at the incubation center in Criuleni and will be then transferred to Nistru in May-June this year. Similar activities are carried out at the reproduction center of the accumulation lake Costesti-Stanca on the Prut.
