Drunk student hospitalized after fall from dorm
A 23-year-old Moldova State University student has been hospitalized after a failed attempt to enter the dormitory by window early Thursday morning.
Eufalia Negreata, coordinating-doctor at the Chisinau Emergency Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the young man decided to climb up the dorm to get into his room because he was afraid he would be refused access through the main entrance due to the late hour (around 2:00) and the condition of being drunk. At the level of the second floor, the climber slipped and fell, fracturing the joints of both elbows and suffering thoracic contusion.
On Wednesday, an Opel collided with a Volkswagen car on Calea Basarabiei Street. As a result, the 19-year-old male driver of the Opel suffered head trauma, cerebral contusion and brain concussion, but refused hospitalization, choosing to remain at the scene to look after his wrecked car.
A drunken 33-year-old man was hit by a Volkswagen-Passat while jaywalking across Ismail Street. The man ended up with his leg bones fractured.
An unidentified man in his mid-60s was found lying near some garages with hemorrhage and in coma. He was admitted to Holy Trinity Hosp.
