A young man was killed and two persons seriously hurt in a road accident this morning. According to the Traffic Police, the driver involved in the accident was under the influence, Info-Prim Neo reports. The accident happened in Sangerei district at about 5am. A driver aged 27 lost control of his Audi, which skidded off the road and overturned. As a result, a 24-year-old passenger did on the spot. The driver and another passenger were rushed to the hospital with different injuries. Elena Damian, secretary of the mayor’s office of Heciul Nou, Sangerei, from where the deceased young man was, has told Info-Prim Neo that the man worked in the construction sector. He was married and had a one-year-old daughter. According to the Traffic Police, the accidents caused by drunk driving represent about 8% of the total number.
