Two young men from Telenesti were detained in Chisinau municipality after drugs worth over one million lei were seized from their rented car and apartment. The suspects were remanded in custody for 30 days, IPN reports.

According to prosecutors, the young men, aged 24 and 25, were detained while traveling in a rented car in which they were transporting more than 500 sachets of cocaine, marijuana, hashish and methedrone.

Following searches of the suspects' rented apartment, law enforcement officers seized further quantities of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Thus, the law enforcers prevented a sale of 1.3 kg of marijuana, 1.2 kg of mephedrone, 500 grams of hashish and 70 grams of cocaine on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. Criminal investigations on the case continue.
