Drugs of 100,000 lei buried in cellar

Two men were arrested on suspicion that they distributed drugs in the municipality of Chisinau. Marihuana to the value of about 100,000 lei was found at the place of one of them. General Police Commissariat spokesman Adrian Jovmir has told Info-Prim Neo that the men were arrested after the police was furnished with information about the business developed by the two. The police stopped a Moskvich car driven by a 35-year-old man from Ialoveni. There was also a passenger inside – an inhabitant of Hancesti district aged 27. The police officers discovered a bag with marijuana in the car, which was to be sold on the black market for 12,000 lei. When questioned, the 27-year-old man admitted that he kept the drugs at home. During a search of his home, the police found two pails of marijuana burred in the cellar. The 5 kg of marijuana cost about 100,000 lei on the black market. The two men used drugs themselves. They have a criminal record. They face up to 12 years in prison on drug distribution changers.
