Parts of a downed drone, with the inscription “Geran-2” visible on one wing, were found this afternoon near the villages of Etulia and Vlădiceni in Vulcăneşti district.

The Border Police says the fragments were found approximately 500 meters from the border with Ukraine.

“The competent authorities came immediately to the scene, and access to the area where the remains of the drone were found was restricted. Currently, the remains of the drone are being analyzed by specialists, who preliminary found them to be harmless”, a press release states.

To prevent false information from being spread and avoid panic, the authorities urge the public to remain calm and get information from official sources only.
