A teacher at a vocational school in Drochia district was arrested on charges of influence peddling for allegedly promising to help a student obtain a graduation certificate from the school’s director in return for a €150 fee, the Anticorruption Center reported. The man, 50, was arrested at the moment when he was receiving the money marked with invisible ink as bribe. The suspect attempted to resist the arrest and run. In found guilty by a court, the man will face a fine of up to 60,000 lei (€ 3,835) or up to 7 years’ imprisonment.
