Driving license tests to be filmed
The Ministry of Information Technology and Communications inaugurated a center for driving license examinations in a bid to curb corruption in the system and improve the skills of the beginning drivers, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The examination center has 25 places with computers and a video system to allow the visualization of the exams on a large screen located in the waiting room.
For the practice tests, the center has two modern cars endowed with cameras to record the drive. All the recordings will be kept for 60 days.
Deputy Minister Dorin Recean said the establishment of the center is part of the Ministry's initiative to improve the procedure of organizing examinations for driving licenses.
According to the national registration agency Registru, there are over 850,000 holders of driving licenses in Moldova; most of them, or 44%, of category B.
