A driving instructor from Cahul was arrested on suspicion of traffic of influence. According to the denouncer, the instructor asked for €600 for influencing civil servants of the Cahul Vehicle Registration and Driver Accreditation Section to help this pass the driving test and get a driver’s license, IPN reports.
The instructor was caught in the act of taking €300, which was transmitted under the supervision of officers of the National Anticorruption Center. He was placed under arrest for 72 hours.
The instructor faces two to six years in jail and a fine of 60,000 to 80,000 lei.
