Starting with November 1, the drivers are obliged to travel with the headlights on during the daytime. Those who will forget to turn these on will be stopped for being warned, IPN reports.

The road traffic regulations provide that the drivers must travel with the headlights on between November 1 and March 31 inclusive. Also, the motorists must equip the vehicles with winter tires. If the roadway is covered with snow, ice or glazed frost and the drivers travel with tires that do not correspond to the specific meteorological conditions of the cold period of the year, patrolling inspectors will impose fines of up to 1,000 lei.
