The driver who hit mortally a woman in Mereni village of Anenii Noi district at the beginning of Jaguar was arrested. This is a man aged 43 from Dubăsari district. When being questioned by the police, the suspect admitted his guilt.

Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Anenii Noi Police Inspectorate Corina Repeshchuk said the man earlier also violated the legislation. He told the police that he left the place of the accident because he got scared.

The man faces three to seven years in jail and ban on driving for the hit-and-run death.
