The young man who caused a road accident on January 29, injuring six persons, two of whom police officers, is under arrest. He is investigated for causing bodily injuries and driving under the influence. He is liable to a fine of 12,000 to 20,000 lei or up to four years’ imprisonment, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the January 31 meeting of the City Hall, municipal police chief Silviu Musuc said the suspect is 25 years old. The accident happened at the intersection of the streets Gradina Botanica and Calea Basarabiei. The Ford car driven by the young man struck a parked Mitsubishi, which was projected into an Opel. Six persons were hurt in the accident, including two policemen. The police officers were admitted to the Emergency Hospital – one to the traumatology division, while the other one to the neurosurgery division. The young man also risks remaining without the driver’s license for a period of up to five years.
