The driver of a bus running on the Chisinau – Cahul route was crushed to death under the wheels of his bus. The accident happened near the Chisinau Southern Bus Terminal on the afternoon of May 6. Aurelia Mija, PR inspector of the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the driver set off from the Terminal and immediately noticed a braking glitch. He asked the passengers to get out and went under the bus to fix the problem. The winch broke and the driver was crushed. The ambulance doctors could do nothing to save him. The man was 52. His colleagues said he had worked for many years as bus driver and was one of the most experienced drivers.
