Because of the excessive speeding, the driver aged 31 lost control over his Opel-Tigra, who hit an electric pillar. As a result, the car rolled over several times. Roscovan says that the man was lucky to have only two fractures, despite the fact that the car was shattered. An Opel-Vectra hit a girl aged 6 at 17.30 on Suceava Street. The girl was hospitalized at the “Valentin Ignatenco” hospital. Another minor, aged 8 was hit on Muncesti Street by a Dacia-Logan taxi. During this night, at 2.00 am, at the crossroad of Ismail and Calea Mosilor Street, an Audi A-6, driven by an intoxicated 35 years old driver hit an obstacle. A passenger aged 40 was traumatized. On Saturday and Sunday, 12 accidents happened on the streets of Chisinau, including 16 injured persons. 38 intoxicated drivers, 155 excessive speeding cases and 113 drivers who did not respect the semaphore’s red light were found out.
