119 metal grids from street drains are missing in Chisinau. The grids have disappeared since April, when the last inventory check was made, Info-Prim Neo reports. Director of municipal enterprise “Exdrupo” Efim Cheptanari declared, during the City Hall’s operative meeting, that after the last week’s inspection, 49 missing grids were replaced. However, another 119 drains remain uncovered. Deputy Mayor Nistor Grozavu said that the City Hall and the General Police Commissariat would forbid companies that collect scrap iron to accept such grids.
