Draft roadmap on agenda of key reforms approved

The governmental commission for European integration endorsed the draft roadmap concerning the agenda of key reforms. The document represents a list of immediate actions that will be taken by the authorities to solve the problems identified in the process of consulting the European partners and civil society of Moldova, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, Prime Minister Pavel Filip underlined the importance of this document and reiterated the executive’s firm commitment to fulfill all the agreed actions. “The approval of the roadmap and its submission to the European partners confirm our readiness to do these reforms,” stated the Premier.

The roadmap does not replace the strategies and sector policies under implementation and sets out the short- and medium-term priorities of the Government and Parliament, based on the conclusions of the Council of the European Union of Moldova. The measures included in the document will be implemented by the Government, Parliament and independent bodies.

The commission also discussed the progress in dealing with the overdue actions made by the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Economy.

The governmental commission for European integration meets weekly to accelerate the implementation of the national plan of action for carrying out the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU.
