The governmental commission for European integration in its first meeting this year approved the draft Republic of Moldova - European Union Association Agenda until 2027. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
“During the next few months, the Association Agenda will pass the internal coordination procedures of the EU and will be ultimately adopted officially by a written procedure within the Republic of Moldova – European Union Association Council,” said Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
The agenda comes to prioritize the implementation of elements of the Association Agreement and to contribute to the development and extension of the dialogue with the EU in new cooperation areas. This will enable the Republic of Moldova to maximally benefit from the advantages offered by the European market.
“The approval of the draft Association Agenda enables us to start working out a new national document for the implementation of the Association Agreement. In this process, the Ministry will closely cooperate with the State Chancellery,” noted Nicu Popescu.
