A dormitory with 420 places and additional infrastructure will be built for the students of the University of Physical Training and Sport. The parliament Friday endorsed a draft law in this sense, proposed by the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports . The dorm will be situated on Andrei Doga str., Chisinau. Education and Youth Minister Larisa Savga stated the new dormitory would complete the university’s block of studies, becoming the first university campus owned by the Moldovan High education. The complex will include a hotel of 60 places, a conference hall, a ceremonial hall with 480 places, a volley-ball hall, and other sports accessories. Building the dorm will be financed by an investor, selected at a contest by the government. The building lot, with the area of 0.35 hectares, will be first managed by the Education Ministry and then by the University of Physical Training and Sport. The investor will be given to own three building of the university on Melestiu str., to cover the building expenditures. These goods are worth 9.8 million lei. The total cost of the new building amounts to 35 million lei. According to Larisa Savga, only 62% of the students' accommodation needs are covered. The dormitories of the high education institutions were built in the 60s . They do not fit the present demands of interior planning, design and endowment. Most dormitories need substantial revamping.
