The objective of the government program is to implement the development view of President Maia Sandu and the government plan of the Party of Action and Solidarity, with adjustments to the new realities, Premier designate Dorin Recean stated in Parliament. He noted that his priority is to ensure efficiency and order in government institutions so that all the public services are efficient for the citizens and for the business community, IPN reports.
“The Government I intend to manage and for which I ask for your vote of confidence will focus on economic development. I mean we need to provide the business entities with sufficient financial resources in the long run for them to create jobs, to increase productivity and to this way raise the salaries and contributions to the state so that we can finance educational, social, cultural and other types of programs,” stated Dorin Recean.
Ensuring of peace and stability is another priority. “We must strengthen our defense capabilities, to invest in technical and human capacities so as to defend ourselves and to also invest in our capacity to ensure public order. Stability and peace are essential for economic development and for our social development,” said the Premier designate.
The announced priorities match the European Moldova 2030 program and the European integration process. “European integration is promoted not for the sake of particular adjustments to the legislation, to the processes that take place in the economy or in society. European integration means more for my Cabinet - adjustment of the domestic policy, of the rules of the game so that each citizen feels free,” noted Dorin Recean.
Under the constitutional provisions, the government program and the proposed Cabinet are examined in Parliament. Based on the vote of confidence given by most of the MPs, the President names the Cabinet and this takes over the date its members are sworn in.
