The deputy head of the National Unity Party (PUN) Dorin Dushchak said that if the party decides not to take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections, he will run independently. Furthermore, he said he hopes he would enjoy the support not only of the PUN, but also of other political parties, IPN reports.
The politician noted he is ready to go through the filters set by the electoral bloc ACUM if this will help avoid the registration of a number of candidates on the same platform in a single-member constituency. “I see no problem in going through the integrity filters proposed by other political forces. We know very well that the electoral bloc ACUM made public the idea of taking integrity and meritocracy tests,” Dorin Dushchak noted in the talk show “People’s Council” on 10TV channel.
He said he knows the problems faced by the Moldovan citizens in the West and thus decided to run in constituency No. 50 westwards Moldova. He traveled a lot and can formulate a series of proposals that would facilitate the integration of the diaspora members into the country of residence and the interaction with the authorities of the given states. “The list I compiled includes a point about the adoption of a law on the diaspora by which the status of economic migrant would be recognized and the rights of the economic migrant would be protected when this decides to return home. We need to facilitate the integration of the Moldovan migrants into the country where they live,” stated Dorin Dushchak.
His first proposal refers to the functioning of Romania’s embassies and consular offices in the case of the Moldovan citizens, according to the principle of subsidiarity. “This means the Romanian diplomatic missions, which are larger in number than the Republic of Moldova’s 34 missions, would be able to manage the problems referring to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova,” said the politician.
