Representatives of the Liberal Party said that since the declaration of Independence, the politicians and the regimes that governed took their property overseas, hiding it from the people. The Liberals said they do not run away as they belong to this land and know that the union ideal should be a solid basis. “We want to lay the foundations of the union now, at the upcoming elections, and to build the union during the next ten years,” the Liberal leader Dorin Chirtoacă was quoted by IPN as saying in a news conference.
Dorin Chirtoacă said the whole election campaign was marked by the escape of those who robbed Moldova and this absconding started immediately after 1989, when they betrayed the national ideal. Former Presidents also fled, covering each other when they changed roles. Vlad Filat and Vlad Plahotniuc hid their properties abroad, as did Andrei Năstase, together with his relatives. “The fugitive Dodon also runs away and seeks helps from Putin and comes home and suggests the federalization. For how long can they still avoid the Moldovan people’s fury,” asked Chirtoacă, noting poverty and all the other problems will be overcome only by the union with Romania.
“This way we will ensure the rule of law, freedom, prosperity and everything the citizens of the Republic of Moldova want,” stated the Liberal leader.
Vlad Biletski, who runs for MP on behalf of the Liberal Party, said we should get rid of Plahotniuc, Dodon and Shor at any cost and should not replace them with someone else. “During these ten years, a large part of the population understood that this is a sick practice. It is not enough to replace the oligarchs, allowing other oligarchs to rule. A well-educated and well-formed unionist segment appeared, which cannot be manipulated. For this segment, I entered the electoral trace and run alongside the Liberal Party,” he stated.
The Liberal Party is under No. 15 on the ballot for the national constituency
