The candidate for President of the Union Electoral Bloc Dorin Chirtoacă said his campaign message for the presidential elections is based on three main objectives: acting according to the strategy “One for all, all for one”; “a dignified and real President and a clean Parliament”, and “Union with Romania and European integration till the end”. He spoke about his objectives in a news conference, IPN reports.
According to Dorin Chirtoacă, these objectives are important because the candidates of the right, especially during the pandemic, should understand that they must not be selfish and aim to get many votes separately. They should aim to have together more votes than Igor Dodon and thus should act together. “We must not act independently, each for oneself,” he stated.
The candidate noted the first step is to replace the President. After the President is replaced, a new Parliament will be needed, which would name the Government to make the changes needed for Moldova to make progress. “From this viewpoint, after the presidential elections we will need parliamentary elections where we, the unionists, would form a united, representative political force. The third step will then follow – the Union with Romania and completion of the European integration of the Republic of Moldova,” he stated.
Dorin Chirtoacă urged the supporters to choose a slogan that is closer to them from among the variants: “Union for all!”, “With Romania in Europe!”, “Union and punctum!”, “In Europe through Union!”, “Europe, till the end!”.
The candidate called on the people to cast their ballots in the upcoming elections if they don’t want “Dodon and Kozak to steal their votes”.
Dorin Chirtoacă announced that the event to officially start his election campaign will be held towards this weekend.
