The Democratic leader Vlad Plahotniuc hid the largest part of his property, registering it in the name of a citizen from Cyprus, said the president of the Liberal Party Dorin Chirtoacă. He asserted that Vlad Plahotniuc hid assess to the value of about €200 million, IPN reports.
In a news conference, Dorin Chirtoacă stated the citizen from Cyprus is the shareholder of a firm with assets of €400,000 and owns property worth hundreds of millions of euros in Moldova.
Chirtoacă also mentioned one of the leaders of the bloc ACUM Andrei Năstase, saying this, together with his relative Victor Țopa, caused about €7 million damage to the state budget through the fraudulent privatization of Air Moldova.
According to the Liberal leader, there is clear evidence based on which international investigations can be launched. Dorin Chirtoacă said he will inform the institutions of the European Union, the U.S. Embassy and other embassies about this.
He called on the voters, especially those from the diaspora, to mobilize and to persuade their relatives in Moldova to vote correctly and in an informed way. The politician noted the Liberal Party will campaign in accordance with the Election Code and will make a number of revelations. The party’s campaign will center on the fight against duplicity and oligarchic groups and on the promotion of Moldova’s union with Romania.
