Dorin Chirtoaca: There is too much mockery
The important employees of the Chisinau executive authorities have been named to posts in the 1990s and they hadsufficient time to establish networks of interest, Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca said in a TV program on Monday evening, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Chirtoaca said that since he was elected as mayor, he has fired more than ten employees over violations at work. But the court reinstated most of them in their posts. “I started not to implement court decisions as there is too much mockery,” he stated.
According to Dorin Chirtoaca, only the 'minority' works honestly in the municipal divisions, while the 'majority' follows personal goals. According to unconfirmed information, a commission of 10% is charged by the division or servant who contributes to the signing of a contract. “Have you seen many persons convicted of corruption?” the mayor asked, saying he has proofs that illegal schemes are used, but is not yet ready to present them.
The mayor said that most of the irregularities are committed at the Division of Architecture, Urbanism and Land Relations and at the Public Transport and Communications Division.
