The candidate for President of the UNION Electoral Bloc Dorin Chirtoaca officially started his electoral campaign on October 10. The event was entitled “Launch-protest at the border on the Prut and at the Soviet barbed wire fence”, IPN reports.
The candidate referred to the experience of Romania that, according to him, benefitted from support from the EU for economic recovery, for the development of villages and towns and for a healthier environment.
Dorin Chirtoacă said Romania benefits from free European funds that are offered to each Romanian citizen who starts a business. The students get scholarships ranging from €50 to €200. “The Moldovan citizens get only lies, the propaganda of Dodon and the mafia.”
He also said that the GDP per capita in Moldova is of €2,000, while in Romania is of €10,000.
The UNION Electoral Bloc’s candidate is under No. 8 on the ballot.
The other candidates who compete for office of President are: Renato Usatyi (Our Party), Andrei Năstase (Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”), Tudor Deliu (Liberal-Democratic Party), Igor Dodon (independent, supported by Party of Socialists), Violeta Ivanov (Shor Party), Maia Sandu (Party of Action and Solidarity), and Octavian Țîcu (National Unity Party).
