An experience exchange project between American and Moldovan specialists could be launched in the near future. The initiative was announced at a meeting between Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca and U.S Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Moldova Michael David Kirby on Tuesday, July 31. According to the Public Relations Department of the City Hall, the parties discussed issues related to the bilateral relations between the municipal administration and local public authorities of USA, as well as the opportunity of strengthening collaboration in different fields. Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca informed the Ambassador about the social-economic situation of the municipality, as well as about the efforts undertaken to develop the infrastructure, transport and to refurbish the road network. The collocutors have also discussed about the Transnistrian issue, emphasising the interest to settle the dispute. This is the first visit of the US Ambassador to the City Hall after this year’s local elections.
