Deputy Mayor of Chisinau Vlad Cotet and the head of the Green Areas Association Eliferie Haruta this morning have visited the lake located on Albisoara St and established that there was no more dead fish there. In Monday's meeting of the City Hall, Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca expressed his joy, saying the problem was practically solved, Info-Prim Neo reports. Eliferie Haruta said all the relevant municipal and state services traveled to the scene, took samples of water and are waiting for the results of the tests. The dead fish was collected by employees of the Green Areas Association. The mayor instructed removing 1 - 1.5 meters of water from the lake so as to establish the cause of the ecological catastrophe. It is not exuded that household waste was dumped there or a sewer pipe was set up through the lake. After the results of the laboratory tests are ready, measures wall be taken to stop the chemical processes taking place in the water. On September 10, locals saw dead fish on the surface of the water and informed the local authorities.
