Dorin Chirtoaca dissatisfied with implementation of “First House” program
The mayor of Chisinau is not satisfied with the way in which the municipal program “First House” is implemented. Dorin Chirtoaca instructed the responsible subdivisions to negotiate with the lending bank so that all the beneficiaries are contacted by the end of this week, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“A delay of 2-3 days turns into a delay of several weeks. This is the first project of the kind and we should not fail in implementing it,” said Dorin Chirtoaca.
Immediately after the bank approves the applications, the beneficiaries will be able to choose an apartment in the building that will be erected on Ghioceilor St, an attic-like apartment or opt for an old apartment.
Constructions Division head Roman Sofroni said the foundation hole has been dug, but the construction works have not started yet owing to the low temperatures.
As many as 389 applications for apartments that will be built within the “First House” program have been accepted so far. Another 62 are being examined. Besides the building on Ghioceilor St, there will be constructed over 400 attic-like apartments that will be up to 30 square meters in area. Those who want to buy an old apartment on the secondary market should have a pre-purchase contract.
The loans released within the program are repayable in 10 to 30 years at an interest rate of 9% a year. Until the loan is repaid, the apartments will remain as a pledge with the bank.
