Dorin Bucsa is the only Moldovan boxer who secured a medal at the EUBC Under 22 European Boxing Championships in Romania. The pupil of Igor Untila reached the semifinals after scoring his third victory at the competition in Targu Jiu, IPN reports.

In the quarterfinals of the 60 kg weight class, Bucsa beat Armenia’s Hrayr Shahverdyan 3-2 and is to meet Russia’s Albert Batyrgaziev on March 31.

In 2014 Dorin Bucsa was European Under 18 championship, while last year won bronze in the Under 22 championship.
