The band “DoReDoS” will represent the Republic of Moldova at the international Eurovision Song Contest 2018 that will be held in Lisbon in May. The band was chosen winner in the national final in the evening of February 24, IPN reports.

The band got the highest score following the aggregation of the televoting and jury vote results. “DoReDoS” will compete in the second Eurovision semifinal on May 10 under No. 7 with the song “My lucky day”. The final will take place on May 12.

In the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, the Moldovan band “SunStroke Project” ranked third, obtaining the best result ever for Moldova at this contest. Last year Salvador Sobral from Portugal won the international song contest held in Kyiv. In 2005, Moldova’s “Zdob si Zdub” finished sixth with the song “Boonika bate doba”.

Moldova has taken part in the Eurovision Song Contest since 2005.
