Domestic violence combated through theater performances

A theatrical group from Moldova, supported by the OSCE Mission to Moldova, will put on a play centering on the prevention and combating of domestic violence. The play “House M” is about the life of Moldovan women subjected to psychological, physical, sexual and economic violence in the public and private spheres, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the OSCE. According to the communiqué, the play is aimed at preventing domestic violence by sensitizing the public opinion and informing the people about the available remedies and assistance that can be provided to victims of domestic violence. Each play will be followed by interactive debates with the public that will be moderated by actors and experts in combating domestic violence. The play will be performed by the theatrical group of the Coliseum Art Center at the Chisinau-based Ginta Latina Center of Culture and Art on November 7, 8 and 26, starting at 6pm.
