Dog days with temperatures of 36°C strike Moldova

Weather forecasters issued a yellow code advisory for high temperatures all over Moldova. Daytime temperatures will rise to 36°C and will remain high until August 10. Contacted by IPN, Natalia Canser, of the State Hydrometeorology Service, said the high temperatures are due to a cyclone that brings warm air from the west.

Specialists recommend avoiding exposure to direct sunlight, especially between 11am and 6pm, and wearing sunhats and light, loose clothes made of natural fabrics. Drinking coffee and alcoholic beverages in excess is not indicated. About 1.5-2.0 liters of water should be drunk daily.

The temperatures will return to the normal level after August 11.
